Divided Loyalties, United Pride: All-Ireland Final 2025
This Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final promises to be one for the books—and for those of us at the Tipperary Hurling Club of San Francisco, it’s personal.
We’ll be proudly backing the Premier County as they face off against Cork at Croke Park. But this year’s matchup brings more than just excitement—it brings a rare sense of conflicted loyalty.
Tipperary’s panel includes four players who once wore the blue and gold not just for county, but for our club here in San Francisco:
These lads brought their talent, grit, and spirit to Páirc na nGael during their time in the States, and we’re thrilled to see them now representing Tipp on the biggest stage.
But across the pitch, lining out for Cork, are four more players with strong San Francisco ties. We’re talking about:
These Rebels also left their mark on our club and our city, and we’re proud to count them among the Tipperary San Francisco alumni.
So while our hearts are with Tipp, there’s no denying the deep respect we hold for the Cork side—and the pride we feel knowing that no matter who lifts the Liam MacCarthy Cup, the Tipperary Hurling Club of San Francisco has a stake in this final.
Throw-in is at 7:30 AM Pacific Time this Sunday, July 20.

Best of luck to both sides—and especially to the eight incredible players who once called San Francisco home.
